Area of Interest:
Breast cancer, Oral Cancer, Lung cancer
The main area of interest is to study molecular pathogenesis of cancer and regulation of cancer progression by looking to various signal transduction pathways like vitamin D signaling pathway. To discover role of stem cells/ cancer stem cells in therapeutic resistance of cancer. To carry out In vitro models for Cancer stem cell to predict drug response and resistance To study epigenetic regulation of various signaling pathways by miRNAS in various cancer. To study various DNA damage and repair mechanism in cancer. Identifying role of genetics in hereditary cancers. Collectively the research knowledge gained will be translated in development of new approaches for the detection, prevention and treatment of cancer.
