Library is the academic nerve center of the institute. It caters to the need of user with its resources. The regular and selective addition of books and journals to this library has enriched its collection and made it a good reference center particularly in the field of oncology. Though this, library has a vast collection of print, digital books and journals of oncology. GCRI Library covers area about 4450 square feet and started its functioning since 1972 with professional library staff. Our mission is to maintain highest standard of excellence in the preservation of knowledge.
GCRI library is well equipped with audio-visual aids and separate air-conditioned computer lab with broadband internet facility. Faculties, residents, researchers, postgraduate students, fellows and paramedical staffs can access online journals and books which are subscribed by the library. It has user-friendly open access system.
The library has separate reading area for students as well as faculties. GCRI library use DDC classification for classified all the books and other materials. GCRI library database is managed through SOUL 2.0 software with barcode facilities. The library has a dedicated E-resource centre for accessing a large number of electronic databases of journals and reference sources subscribed by the GCRI.

GCRI digital Library is focused on the collection of digital objects that includes institutional repository and online database which is use exclusively for library members in the GCRI campus. GCRI library database is managed through SOUL 2.0 software with barcode facilities. The collection of the library is available online through the Web Opac facility of the SOUL 2.0. Institutional repository has been created to collect, preserve and dissemination of the scholarly output of GCRI. Users can search PhD thesis, dissertations, logbook, articles, papers, annual reports, GCSMCH quarterly news letters, GCS research journal, bibliographic information on book chapters, monographs, etc using our digital library.
